From the Booking Desk:
For those that did not hear, yesterday the board of Malice Domestic announced the nominations for this year’s Agatha Awards. It is a stellar list all around, but I am thrilled to say that “Ticket to Ride” the short story I wrote in collaboration with friend and fellow blogger Dru Ann Love was nominated in the Best Short Story category.
“Ticket to Ride” can be found in Happiness is a Warm Gun: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of The Beatles, published by Down & Out Books and edited by Josh Pachter.
To say that I am thrilled is a vast understatement. It was joy enough to just celebrate my first published short story, but to know that the community I love so much enjoyed it as well is a true blessing.
I hope that we’ll see many of you at Malice Domestic this year. As previously announced, I will also be receiving the Amelia Award, which is presented by the Malice Domestic Board of Directors to “individuals the Board determined had contributed to the Malice Domestic Community and exemplified what Malice Domestic represents.”
It’s going to be a hell of a celebration!
