From the Booking Desk:

Marcia Talley is a fellow writer working in the DMV (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) corridor and I have been a fan since her debut, Sing It To Her Bones first appeared in 1998. Marcia Talley will be the Guest of Honor at the 37th annual Malice Domestic convention this April. To honor the occasion and to celebrate Marcia’s incredible crime fiction career, Crippen & Landru will publish a special collection of Marcia Talley’s short fiction, timed for release to coincide with the convention itself. Today, I am pleased to reveal the cover for this exciting new collection.

Marcia Talley has caught readers’ eyes since the beginning of her career when she won the Malice Domestic Grant (now known as the William F. Deeck-Malice Domestic grant.)  They chose her wisely. For these last three decades, Marcia Talley has marveled readers with her novels—and her short stories. Each of these works is humorous, thoughtful, and surprising. That is why, over these years, she has won and been nominated for a variety of mystery short story awards.

There are stories from classic characters to scenes from Shakespeare, and there are four stories of  Marjorie Ann. This year, when she will be the Guest of Honor at Malice Domestic, it seems appropriate to present all her short works in a single collection. Crippen & Landru is fortunate to be able to do so.

The collection will feature an introduction written by Elaine Viets.
