From the Booking Desk:
The subject of this week’s Composite Sketch needs no introduction. Dru Ann Love is a celebrated book advocate and a Raven Award winning blogger, but more than that, she is my trusted friend and colleague. Like last week’s Sketch participate, Lesa Holstine, Dru Ann is a vital part of the success of our Triple Time Posts, not only here on BOLO Books, but on their respective blogs: Dru’s Book Musings and Lesa’s Book Critiques. Beyond all that, you can always count on Dru to give you a smile, a hug, and an encouraging word. Let’s see what she is going to reveal to us with these Composite Sketch questions.
Name: Dru Ann Love
Location: New York City
This person from my personal life is such an inspiration:
My mother. She raised all five girls to be strong and independent, giving up her life to ensure that we have a future.
One of the people I admire most in the crime fiction community is:
Alafair Burke. She genuine. She’s funny. She an advocate. She loves her dogs. She’s a good all-around person who loves her fans. She was the first author that I know who looked to her readers/fans to help with questions or suggestions regarding her stories and then put all of us in the acknowledgement section of her book.
STALKER ALERT! If this fictional character were real, they would likely need to get a restraining order against me:
Roarke from the “In Death” series by J.D. Robb. Need I say more. 😊
People are always surprised that I am a fan of this individual (singer, actor, or artist):
Reba McEntire.
My personal catch phase is (or should be):
It is what it is.
Thanks Kristopher for having me here. I like how you can capture a person with 5 short questions.
Thanks Dru. They are some interesting questions that somehow reveal the “inner person.” Love this feature because I learn something new about each person.
A nice interview of a very nice humble person whose morning calendar message I look forward to. 🙂
Those morning messages are a true joy.
Thanks Debra
Love me some Dru Ann Love all right! And yes indeed, I am surprised you like Reba! Hugs to you, sweetheart. xo
Thank Kay. Love me some you.
Roarke – no explanation needed, Dru! 🙂
Thank you for these nice interviews, Kristopher, and for your always positive take on the world of books.
He’s a dream
Never has a person fit their name more beautifully than our wonderful Dru Ann Love. She gives love so freely and she gets it back ten fold. She represents the best of the mystery/crime community and of the world itself.
Thank you Kathy
Fun profile here! Love this series, as I’ve said–and a great subject this outing!
