From the Booking Desk:
I first met Elaine Viets through her writing: The Dead-End Jobs cozy mystery series is one of my favorites. Then I had the pleasure of watching Elaine on various panels discussing the part-time jobs she took on as research for that mad-capped series; Elaine always had me in stitches with her hilarious escapades. Later, I was asked to moderate a Bouchercon panel in which Elaine was participating. I have no idea how I got through that panel without cracking up, but I did (sort of). And now, I look forward to every opportunity to see Elaine Viets. You will do the same after reading her Composite Sketch answers.
Name: Elaine Viets
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
This person from my personal life is such an inspiration:
My grandmother, Frances Vierling. She was one of 13 children. Grandma had a hard life, but she encouraged me to finish school and get a college degree. Education was important to her. On the weekends, we’d go on long walks in the woods and she’d point out the plants and wild flowers. We also went crawfishing with string and bacon for bait.
One of the people I admire most in the crime fiction community is:
Charlaine Harris. I like her writing and her ability to portray ordinary life. I admire the fact that despite her great success, she’s stayed her friendly, down-to-earth self.
STALKER ALERT! If this fictional character were real, they would likely need to get a restraining order against me:
Kinsey Milhone.
People are always surprised that I am a fan of this individual (singer, actor, or artist):
The Uppity Blues Women
My personal catch phrase is (or should be):
“Tell me a story.”
Love this!
Wow! Love this artwork. Thank you so much, Kris.
Great look at Elaine. Thanks.
