From the Booking Desk:
You are likely saying to yourself, “wait, doesn’t this series already exist?” And you would be right. However, this iconic series from Toni L. P. Kelner – which was originally published by Berkley Prime Crime – was in need of a fresh makeover, something that reinforces how much fun these books are. To celebrate the occasion, Toni is also releasing a short story from that “world” for the first time as a solo title. It previously appeared in the celebrated Sherlockian anthology, For the Sake of the Game: Stories Inspired by the Sherlock Holmes Canon, edited by Laurie R. King and Leslie S. Klinger.
As luck would have it, Toni also happens to have a very talented artist at her fingertips, daughter Maggie (dappercap website), who also does the wonderful marketing drawings of Sid the Skeleton (a series Toni writes under the pen name Leigh Perry).
As this relaunch continues in the coming weeks, Toni will be hosting a giveaway for each of the ebooks in the series as well as a grand prize of the entire collection. Toni has graciously offered that anyone who comments here about the new covers will be entered into that contest.
Enough with the chit-chat, let’s take a look at these adorable new covers!

There are more books in this series than I thought! Love these new covers, they are so stylish
The covers are fabulous as are the books! Don’t enter me in the contest, but I’m so glad these are being relaunched!
I’ve always loved this series as well, Sherry. I was unaware of the Sherlock story though, so I look forward to reading that.
I love the style of the covers! I read this series when it first came out and enjoyed it tremendously. I think the covers capture the fun of the characters.
The covers are fun. A great idea for a re-launch.
Awesome covers–each one unique and yet they all hang together. Congrats, Toni and Maggie. Thank you, Kristopher, for showcasing the covers.
I’ll add my kudos for the covers. They’re all different yet clearly from the same collection. Good luck with the relaunch, Toni!
I have always loved these books, and I think these lively covers will reach a wider audience.
